Kellogg-HKUST EMBA is proud to present Angela Dong with a Distinguished Alumni Award.

Dong was born in Shanghai, China and studied bachelor’s in economics at the Tianjin University. Dong joined Nike China in 2005. She is currently the Vice President of Nike Inc. and General Manager of Nike Greater China, and is responsible for shaping the vision and growth strategy for Greater China – all while continuing to elevate the Nike brand and create strong consumer connections.

During her tenure, Dong has played a critical role in driving the Greater China business and delivering sustainable and profitable growth. Prior to her current position, she acted as Nike’s CFO for Greater China.

After she officially assumed the role of General Manager on June 1st, 2015, Nike Greater China reported a revenue of $4.237 billion in the 2017 fiscal year, and achieved nearly $1.2 billion in revenue growth and maintained 11 quarters of consecutive double-digit growth. Dong’s solid business experience, proven track record, knowledge of the Greater China marketplace and people-oriented management style have made her a crucial member of Nike’s global leadership team.

Before joining Nike, Dong has held management positions for Coca-Cola China and P&G.

She is a great example of a Kher – “High impact, Low Ego” alumna. According to her fellow classmates, Dong belongs to the serious and studious camp. She took all her assignments, presentations with a serious intellectual bent.

As a mother of two, she managed the home front very well despite being very career-focused.
