CEO, Co-Founder,

Global Logistic Properties (GLP)

The Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program takes pride in Ming Mei’s achievements and recognizes his leadership by presenting him with a Distinguished Alumni Award.

Mei obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University School of Business in 1996.

Mei holds the record of the youngest student in KH history ever, impressing the admissions committee with his maturity at the age of 28.

Coming from a family of immigrants, Mei not only studied hard, but helped to run the family business, Toy Sun Restaurant in Indiana, from the age of 16. He was responsible for three restaurants and a staff of 75 employees. He corresponded on all legal and financial related business activities and worked with the bank to finance the startup of two restaurants.

The Admissions Committee took this work experience into account and admitted him to the Class of 2002.

He has proven to be an asset to the KH program. He was a talented and active participant who approached other students with enthusiasm and creativity. He added a great deal to class discussions and had a thirst to learn.

One of his many strengths is that he works well with people and has strong leadership skills. His most outstanding characteristics are his amazing attitude towards his work and how much he values his relationship with his peers.

In 2018, he pledged a donation to commemorate the Dean Emeritus of Kellogg, Donald P. Jacobs, for his mentorship and support during Mei’s career.
