The Entrepreneur Award is presented to Federico Malek Pascha, (Class of 2022, KH23), CEO and Co-founder of Wonder Brands, a company based in Mexico City, although Federico is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Federico’s entrepreneurial journey began at the young age of 23 when he founded his first start-up, Walooz, with just five employees. After being acquired by Groupon, Federico quickly expanded the company and employed 300 full-time employees in six countries, including Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Uruguay.

His second venture, Avenida.com, became a market leader in pure-play e-commerce before being acquired in 2017. Federico’s third start-up, iunigo.com, (Unigo) became the first online insurance carrier in the region, focused on delighting customers through a superb customer experience.

In 2020, Federico founded Wonder Brands, a digital brands platform for LATAM, with the goal of improving people’s everyday lives by providing high-quality products at affordable prices.

Federico’s ventures have created more than 500 full-time jobs in the last 15 years and captured more than $100 million dollars from Global VCs to the region. Federico’s dedication to driving innovation and growth in Latin America and other emerging markets is truly inspiring.

He has demonstrated that it is possible to innovate from emerging markets and build successful business models that create sustainable jobs and opportunities for people.
